Elon Musk ranks thirty first on Forbes list of Billionaires with net worth of  $38.7 Billion as of May 2020. Elon Musk, full name Elon Reeve Musk, is American Entrepreneur and Businessman who was born in Pretoria South Africa on 28^th June 1971. His father, Errol Musk was South African Engineer and Mother, Maye Musk, was Canadian model.  When  Elon Musk was 10 years old his parents got divorced.

From childhood Elon Musk always dreamed about inventions.  He learnt computer programming and created game called Blaster which he sold when he was 12 years. As a child he was introverted and bookish. He was short and because of his short height he was bullied until he was 15 years, when he started to grow in height. To defend himself he learnt karate and wrestling. He spent most of his childhood in South Africa with his brother Kimbal and Sister Tosca.

In year 1989 when Elon Musk turned 17 year old, to avoid mandatory military service, he moved to Canada and joined Queens University and took Canadian citizenship. In 1992 he moved to America and joined University of Pennsylvania, where he completed his graduation in Economics and Physics. He then went to Stanford University, California to do PhD in energy physics but dropped out.

In 1995 he launched Zip2 Corporation with his brother Kimbal. Zip2 was online city guide which he sold to Compaq Computer Corporation for $307 Million  in cash and $32 Million in stock plan.

In 1999 with money that he got by selling Zip2 founded x.com. x.com was financial services and payment company which later became PayPal.  In 2002 PayPal was acquired by EBay for $1.5 Billion in stock. 

In  year 2002 Elon Musk took citizenship of United States of America. Same year Elon Musk launched his third company Space Exploration Technologies Corporations also known as SpaceX to build space crafts for commercial use. In 2008 Space X got contract from NASA to handle cargo transport for International Space Station. In 2012 SpaceX made history by becoming first privately owned company to launch rocket into space (Falcon 9). SpaceX is reducing the cost of access to space and also dreams to establish foothold on another planet, probably Mars.

Elon Musk is also Co-founder, CEO and product architect at Tesla Motors which was formed in year 2013. Tesla Motors basically specializes on electric vehicle manufacturing. Tesla vehicles are equipped with small motor (about the size of watermelon) which converts electrical energy from the battery to mechanical energy which moves the vehicles. Tesla Motors also works on production of Tesla batteries, Solar panel and solar roofs.   

In 2017, Elon Musk started his new company called The Boring Company. His motive behind The Boring Company is to build tunnels so that traffic can be reduced. He started testing this project by digging on the SpaceX property located at Los Angeles.
